Nagpur: A group Shiv puja and get-together was organized under the aegis of

Brahmin

Sena at Shri Kalyaneshwar Mahadev Mandir,

Telangkhedi

Fifty families participated in this event. The programme started with a puja of Shiva, where couples chanted vedas and performed Mahadev's 'abhishek'. Chants of Shiva Rudrashtak, Shiva Tandav Strotra, aarti and Om Namah Shivay reverberated through the temple's premises.

After that, all the men and women sang an array of Shiv bhajans to the accompaniment of dholak and manjira. Brahmin Sena president Manish Trivedi said that in near future, the group will also hold medical camp and group introduction events. He also encouraged everyone to come forward to speak for their right. Women's wing president Jaymala Tiwari motivated the women in the group to undertake social services.
