BJP will not win 2019 election: Nana Patole

Yavatmal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will never come to power in 2019 election, as all its 2014 poll promises have been ignored by Modi government, said ex-BJP MP from Bhandara Nana Patole. He was speaking to the media at the residence of Devanand Pawar, convener of Zilla Shetkari Nyaya Haq Andolan Samiti, in Yavatmal on Friday evening.

Patole was accorded a rousing welcome at a function at GMC Auditorium on his return after resigning from the BJP and as party MP recently. Justifying his actions, and his campaign in Gujarat with Rahul Gandhi, Patole said he too contributed for the better performance of Congress.

When asked if he would join a political party, Patole said he would either join Congress or adopt an independent movement to serve the people with his followers. He added Modi has destroyed democratic values, Constitution and the farmers.

Patole said “We will struggle for statehood to Vidarbha, bringing farmers out of suicide spree, ensure scholarship to backward class students, and employment for youths.”

On by-elections, Patole said, “If Devendra Fadnavis or Praful Patel contest, I will contest by-elections from Bhandara.”

He also announced his plan to visit Dabhadi, where Modi had once addressed farmers and made tall assurances, go to Sindkhed Raja for the blessings of Jijamata, and then flag off Vidarbha-level pad yatra.
