Dilip Walse Patil announced that he would seek an opinion from the AG and also consult group leaders before spelling his verdict on proposals for legislative approval of an appropriation bill concerning additional funds utilized between 2002-03 and 2005-06.
The opposition had objected to the delay in seeking approval for the additional funds, even as it accepted the demands raised in this regard. tnn
It had also demanded a discussion on the issue.
On Tuesday, Patil said that he would consult the AG on whether a discussion could take place in this regard. He said that the legal opinion and opinion of the group leaders will also be sought on the validity of the additional funds utilized.
