NAGPUR: AIIMS-Nagpur has become the first AIIMS in the country to receive the prestigious NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers) accreditation. The NABH accreditation is recognized globally as a standard for healthcare excellence. Only a few private hospitals in Nagpur have this accreditation.
AIIMS-Nagpur, established in 2018, is one of the premier medical institutions in the region. Lauding the institution’s commitment to excellence, Dr MH Rao, director of AIIMS-Nagpur, said, “The accreditation is a testament to its unwavering dedication towards delivering outstanding healthcare across all domains.”
The process of attaining the NABH accreditation is rigorous and all-encompassing, evaluating various aspects of a hospital’s performance, including patient care, safety protocols, and organizational efficiency.
Medical superintendent Dr Manish Shrigiriwar acknowledged the efforts taken by the entire staff. He said, “This achievement underscores our confidence that AIIMS-Nagpur will continue to uphold its commitment to providing high-quality patient care and safety, solidifying its position as a pioneer in the healthcare field.”
NABH plays a vital role in ensuring that healthcare institutions adhere to rigorous quality standards. By evaluating a hospital’s infrastructure, processes, and patient outcomes, NABH accreditation establishes a benchmark for excellence.
“With the NABH accreditation, AIIMS-Nagpur is poised to further elevate the level of healthcare it provides. Patients can rest assured that they will receive top-notch medical treatment and care here,” said Dr Shrigiriwar.
On Thursday, AIIMS-Nagpur also received praise from PMO office for delivering quality health care services. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations on Twitter. “Congratulations to team AIIMS-Nagpur on this feat, setting a benchmark in delivering quality healthcare services,” the tweet reads.
“Prime Minister’s recognition further highlights the significance of AIIMS-Nagpur’s achievement and serves as an inspiration for us to continue our pursuit of excellence in healthcare delivery,” said Dr Shrigiriwar.
