Nagpur: A delegation of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) activists took out a rally to the
RSS headquarters at Mahal in Nagpur on Monday to submit a memorandum against the alleged misuse of central agencies like the ED and CBI by the
BJP government against its political adversaries. This was an unprecedented step, and the first time a political party has directly approached the RSS to voice grievances against the BJP.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat was not present at the headquarters, and the memorandum raising five pivotal questions regarding the BJP's conduct, was accepted by Ajay Jaltare.
Members of AAP's Nagpur unit, spearheaded by city chief Ajinkya Kalambe, planned the ‘Jawab Do Morcha' to the RSS headquarters in Mahal. The rally, which commenced from Chitnis Park, was stopped at the bustling Badkas Square by Nagpur police.
The objective of the morcha was to present a list of questions from AAP leader and former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, to ascertain his and the RSS's stance towards the BJP on these five questions. After being stopped midway, a delegation of five office bearers delivered the questions to an RSS office bearer.
Subsequently, city AAP chief Ajinkya Kalambe told TOI RSS' Ajay Jaltare received the memorandum and assured to forward it to Mohan Bhagwat.
