99 Percentilers Shine As JEE Main Session 1 Results Are Declared
Nagpur: Around 17 students from the city scored 99.9 percentile and above in JEE Main Session 1, the results of which were declared on Tuesday morning. Nearly 30 students secured 99.8 percentile and above, 60 crossed the 99.5 percentile mark, and 108 students achieved 99 percentile and above in the highly competitive national engineering entrance examination. Among the top scorers is Madhav Notani, who secured an exceptional score, further adding to the city's strong showing.City students once again made their mark at the national level, reinforcing Nagpur's reputation as a consistent performer in competitive exams.
With a clear dream of securing admission to IIT Bombay, Yash Raut, who scored 99.98 percentile, said the exam went "okayish" and his score aligned with his mock test performances. He is now preparing for Session 2 in April and plans to begin focused preparation for JEE Advanced after completing his Class 12 board examinations. Yash said balancing board studies with JEE preparation was crucial. To unwind, he listens to music and practises yoga.Palak Jaipuriya, who also scored 99.98 percentile, said she was satisfied with her performance. After completing her board syllabus, she dedicated nearly a month to board exam preparation before shifting focus entirely to JEE Main from December. She followed a disciplined schedule, studying from 8am to 8pm with short breaks to interact with friends or go for a jog. Securing admission to IIT Bombay remains her goal.Another high-ranker, Yugal Ade, expressed happiness over his performance and credited his mentors and family for their support. He said rigorous training, mock tests and structured study material played a key role in his preparation.With Session 2 scheduled in April, aspirants are now aiming to improve their scores and secure stronger ranks for admission to premier engineering institutes across the country.
