3 booked for assaulting woman, husband

NAGPUR: Kalamna police have booked local miscreant Dileep Sahu, Suraj and their accomplice for thrashing a 28-year-old woman and her husband near Kaikali Nagar on Sunday.
Sahu and his accomplices, learnt to be under the influence of alcohol, also ransacked handcart of the victims' neighbour.
Police sources stated that Sahu started thrashing complainant Mohini (name changed) after dragging her out of her small eatery where she was washing utensils.Apart from hurling abuses, Sahu manhandled Mohini's husband when he intervened. Sahu and his accomplices later turned their wrath on Mohini's neighbour who too came to her rescue. The accused damaged the neighbour's handcart and hurled around the materials kept on it.
Kalamna police have charged Sahu and his two accomplices with outraging modesty of woman, assault and threatening.
