24-yr-old stabbed, looted near busy Sitabuldi market
Following a scuffle, 24-year-old Nitin Jaiswal was stabbed near Netaji Market at Sitabuldi area in public view on Wednesday evening. He was rushed to the government medical college.
The miscreants fled with Rs 15,000 belonging to the victim's uncle. Police said that Jaiswal was stabbed by a group of local youths after he protested their hooliganism.
Jaiswal's uncle Munnalal, who had come from Madhya Pradesh to make some purchases, was abused by the youths. The issue aggravated after Jaiswal slapped a youth.
The miscreants then stabbed Jaiswal on his back twice. Sitabuldi police station registered an offence of armed robbery and launched a manhunt to trace the accused.
