NAGPUR: The state government on Wednesday cleared much-awaited promotions of 20 conservators of forests (CFs) as chief conservators (CCFs).
These promotions come close on the heels of promotions of seven CCFs as additional principal chief conservators (APCCFs) on May 3. Among the 20 promotions and transfers, several have been effected even before completion of officials' tenures, who otherwise could have been promoted at their respective posts which have been upgraded.
Conservationists have alleged manipulations in the transfers and promotions.
