11.25L register for State CET so far, online window extended till Feb 20
Nagpur: The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell extended online registration for MHT-CET (PCM and PCB) and MBA/MMS CET to Feb 20 for the 2026–27 academic year, as a record 11,25,219 candidates opted to appear across the three examinations.Registration was open from Jan 10 to Feb 12. This year, for the first time, candidates are offered two attempts for MHT-CET PCM, PCB and MBA/MMS. One attempt is mandatory and the second optional; if a candidate takes both, the higher score will be considered for admission.
Of the total, 7,34,512 candidates registered for the first attempt and 3,90,707 opted for both attempts. Stream-wise, PCM has 4,12,280 first-attempt registrations and 2,64,057 opting for both attempts; PCB has 2,33,809 first-attempt registrations and 90,804 opting for both; MBA/MMS has 88,423 first-attempt registrations and 35,846 opting for both. Last year's registrations stood at 4,64,263 for PCM, 3,01,072 for PCB and 1,16,585 for MBA/MMS.The exams cover admissions to engineering, technology, pharmacy, Bachelor of Planning, integrated Master of Planning and agricultural education courses, and will be conducted online in computer-based mode at centres across Maharashtra. Application forms, schedules and the information brochure are available on the official website.The two-attempt model mirrors the national JEE (Main) pattern and was introduced on the directions of higher and technical education minister Chandrakant Patil to give students a second opportunity.
