Youth falls off his new scooter, dies

MYSURU: A youth was killed after his recently-bought scooter skidded on Outer Ring Road near Bogadi around midnight Monday.
Abhilash B Gowda, 23, succumbed to severe head injuries on the spot, said VV Puram traffic police.
The incident happened when Gowda, a cashier at a cooperative society in Periyapatna, was returning home at 11.30pm.
Only three days ago, his mother had got him the scooter.Abhilash had even uploaded the photos of his new wheels, including a selfie with it, on a social networking site. He was yet to register the vehicle.
Abhilash lived alone in a rented room in Vijayanagar IV stage in West Mysuru, while his mother stays at KR Pete taluk in Mandya district
