Yaduveer urges NHAI to fast-track infra projects in Mysuru

Mysuru: Mysore MP Yaduveer Wadiyar urged the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to fast-track key infrastructure projects in Mysuru, with special emphasis on the construction of a flyover at Kempegowda Circle (Manipal Junction) on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway.The MP met Umashankar, secretary of NHAI, in Delhi and submitted a formal representation seeking early execution of the long-pending project. During the meeting, Yaduveer highlighted the strategic importance of the proposed flyover, stating that it would play a crucial role in improving traffic management at 1 of the city's busiest junctions. He explained that completion of the flyover would significantly reduce road accidents, ease traffic congestion, and shorten travel time for commuters entering and exiting Mysuru, thereby ensuring smoother and safer movement of vehicles.
The MP also held discussions on the construction of service roads along the Mysuru-Kushalnagar Highway, stressing the need to enhance local connectivity and provide better access to nearby residential and commercial areas.Expressing satisfaction over the positive response from NHAI officials, Yaduveer Wadiyar described the flyover project as a major milestone for Mysuru's infrastructure development. He also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari, and NHAI officials for sanctioning several development projects for the Mysuru constituency, which is spread over Mysuru and Kodagu districts.
