A Manju on Tuesday disclosed the government may soon start delivering
Nandini milk
and its
products at consumers' doorsteps
, to have a competitive edge over private players.
Speaking to reporters after a review meeting of officials from Mysuru revenue division of eight districts at the regional commissioner's office auditorium, the minister there are efforts to spoil the image of Nandi milk and its products, and vendors are not supplying them to city outskirts and rural areas.
"We're aware of the
unfair trade practices
. Some shops are promoting private brands for lucrative commission," he said.
He added that brand Nandini, which is a product of Karnataka Cooperative Milk Producers' Federation Limited, has become a household name by providing pure and fresh milk and milk products.
