Mysuru: Former police officers, advocates and the public paid tributes to former DGP

Retired SP Rajendra Prasad remembered Prakash as a father figure to many officers like him, as the former DGP provided them with guidance and support in both work and personal life. "I had the opportunity to work under Om Prakash when he was director of Karnataka Police Academy, where scores of gazetted probationers completed their basic training, and his acumen about police was impeccable. It is saddening that such an officer met with a tragic end," Prasad said.
Retired DySP R Girijesh recalled Prakash's generosity in helping retired police officers and his politeness towards fellow workers.
Advocate HN Venkatesh recalled his association with the former DGP for nearly two decades and said Prakash had released the diary and calendar of Law Guide magazine on several occasions. "His departure has left me shattered," he said. Mysuru Bar Association president S Lokesh remembered Prakash for his humbleness.
GV Ramamurthy, former president of Mysuru Bar Association, Naksha Honda MD Abhishek Hegde and Saraswathipuram police inspector Purushotham also paid their tributes on the occasion.
