Tittle-tattle in the downs

MYSORE: Making friends is the motto of this flock of youngsters, who meet up daily at a place, surrounded by greenery to chill out. They come from different colleges, mainly from the JSS Polytechnic. They chillax and spend time at leisure in the downs, their adda, which is located at a stones throw away distance from JSS institute. They frequent the place during free time and hang out, before winding-up for the day every evening.
Says Sumanth, second year information science student: "We come here to meet friends and make friends with like minded people." After sitting in classes for hours together, they directly head to this place to relax and have fun in the available short time. They discuss various issues like academic, sports, job and also personal matters here. Everyday during weekdays they spend minimum two to three hours in two sessions particularly during the break and after the classes.
Sumanth says his friends list is growing big after he started frequenting the place since one and half years. Jeevan Kishore, another student, describes their adda as a cool place to unwind after attending classes. The downs is covered by trees and it is a nice place to spend time with friends and have lunch and snacks at a good food joint nearby.
Vijay Raghavendra of mechatronics branch says first of all, they come here to chit chat and to relax. Karan of Information Science branch says, on every Saturday, they hang around here for more than four hours during which they tittle-tattle. He claims they feel as cool as cucumber when they are in the downs.
