MYSORE: The absence of S A Ramadas, MLA, and parliamentary secretary to CM, at the chief minister B S Yeddyurappa's functions has led to speculations about his resignation. Besides, it has exposed the `alleged' simmering discontentment among the ruling party legislators against the chief minister, the charge denied by the latter.
For few months, Ramadas has not been using the vehicle and office set up at Vidhana Soudha despite his post being categorized as the cabinet rank post.
Ramadas has been quoting personal reasons for not accompanying the CM.
Sources revealed that the chief minister, who appointed him as parliamentary secretary in charge of programme implementation, had reportedly not assigned him any specific work.
Ramadas told The Times Of India that he being a son of a military officer has inherited strong values in life. "I cannot sit and enjoy the post when I am not doing justice to the post and the people," he reacted clarifying that his act of not using the official machinery or car is neither against the party nor the government or chief minister.
Recently, four-time legislator Shankerlingegowda joined the bandwagon of dissident legislators by publicly saying that "all is not well in BJP and there is no respect for seniority".
