MYSORE: Revenue minister G Karunakara Reddy on Thursday said he will go against land encroachments but refused to acknowledge former bureaucrat V Balasubramanian's report on encroachments.
He will convene a meeting of senior officials on July 27 to discuss the issue of encroachment of public land. "We have details on the extent of the land encroached and will act against it," he told reporters when asked about Balasubramanian's report, which, he said, the former bureaucrat has not submitted to the government.

The taskforce has 20 officials of the secretary rank. The report should have been submitted before them and approved. He has not done it, he stated. However, he said the revenue department has data on the issue.
Meanwhile, he launched e-seva, an online facility for booking of various religious services, at some of the major temples in Mysore division. It will be extended to other revenue divisions in the state in a phased manner. It extends the devotees facilities like booking of services and gets them details of the events. The minister said the muzrai department had classified the main temples in Mysore division as A and B. There are 50 temples in category A and 129 under category B.
The e-seva will be available at Chamundeshwari temple, Mookambika temple, Kollur, Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Srirangapatna and Talacauvery. He reviewed the activities of revenue department with DCs from Mysore division.
