MLA L Nagendra inaugurated the centre on Tuesday. On the occasion, he said that it is a special service being rendered by Brahma Kumaris for the benefit of convicts and under trials. He called upon the prisoners to shun bad emotions and return home, after their prison sentences are complete, as a reformed person.

KC Divyashree, chief superintendent of Mysuru Central Prison said meditation has helped many prisoners. “Many are today leading a pious life despite being in prison,” she said. She conveyed her regards to Brahma Kumaris for their selfless service.

Lakshmiji, chief coordinator of Brahma Kumaris, Mysuru sub-zone, thanked Lions Club and ‘Vikasana’, for their support in constructing the meditation hall 22 years back and to prison authorities for providing space inside the prison.
