Power disruption tomorrow

Mysuru: There will be a disruption in power supply on Thursday between 10am and 6pm in various localities of the city. The affected areas include Saraswathipuram 1 to 16th main, New Kantharaj Urs Road, KG Koppal main road, University Quarters, Vishwamanava Double Road, CFTRI campus, DC residence, JC College, RC office, Hunsur Main Road, ZP office, Shivarampet, Maharaja and Yuvaraja College, JLB Road, ZP office, court complex, Metropole Circle, Maharaja’s hostel, Ramaswamy Circle, Geetha Road, and surrounding areas. tnn

Residents block road over water supply

Residents of Agrahara Samakulam in Coimbatore staged a protest, blocking a road, to demand drinking water supply which had been disrupted for over a month due to a broken pipeline. The protesters dispersed after being assured by officials that the issue would be resolved soon. In other news, water supply in Hubballi and Dharwad in India has been improved, with several areas receiving daily or more frequent water supply. However, heavy rainfall in Dholpur, Rajasthan, caused disruptions in water supply due to power supply issues. Repair work near Chandra Layout in southwest Bengaluru will also disrupt water supply in several localities.

Waterlogged roads, power outage after overnight rain

Heavy overnight rainfall in Bhopal, the state capital of Madhya Pradesh, caused water logging and power outages, disrupting normal life. Areas such as Ashoka Garden and Punjabi Bagh were severely affected, with flooded roads and stormwater drains unable to cope with the flow of water. The power outage was worsened by an unresponsive call center and server failure. In addition, the lack of storm water drains and deteriorating road conditions further compounded the situation.

Drama on VIP Road

A couple in Zirakpur caused a commotion on VIP road after claiming they had been robbed by snatchers. They stopped vehicles and demanded justice before being warned by the police and let go. In other news, a woman in Delhi chased down thieves who snatched her phone, while residents in Vadodara discovered a 12-foot crocodile near their homes. Additionally, an assistant loco-pilot was killed in a road accident in Kanpur, sparking protests from fellow railway employees.
