‘Officials told to focus on easing water crisis’

Mysuru: Mysuru ZP CEO KM Gayathri has directed the panchayat development officers of all 36 GPs of T Narasipura taluk to focus on easing drinking water crisis in their limits.
Chairing a progress review meeting held at the taluk panchayat office at T Narasipura on Tuesday, the CEO asked the panchayat officials to ensure fodder and drinking water to cattle and livestock.
Gayathri reviewed the progress gram panchayat has achieved in the Jal Jeevan Mission of providing tap water connections to all households, implementation of MGNREGA aims at alleviating poverty and providing 150 days of jog guarantees to all job card holders registered under the scheme, Swachh Bharat Mission, Mission Antyodaya, National Urban and Rural Livelihood Programme and Digital Library.
She also inspected the digital library and solid waste treatment plant set up by Gargeshwari gram panchayat.
Taluk panchayat executive officer C Krishna, rural drinking water supply assistant executive engineer Rashmi and others were present at the meeting.
