Mysuru youth with kidney disease tests positive for Covid-19, shifted to Bengaluru hospital

Mysuru on Friday registered two fresh cases - one of Ireland-returned and the other who had come from Rajasthan. With this total tally of Covid cases has gone up to 94 in Mysuru. So far 91 are cured and discharged.

MYSURU: A Mysurean with kidney disease who returned to the city from Ireland was rushed back to Bengaluru hospital within a day, after he was tested positive to coronavirus.
Mysuru on Friday registered two fresh cases - one of Ireland-returned and the other who had come from Rajasthan. With this total tally of Covid cases has gone up to 94 in Mysuru. So far 91 are cured and discharged.

The 28-year-old youth was rushed to a private hospital in Mysuru soon after he arrived in Bengaluru on May 27. He came in an ambulance vehicle after getting permission from health authorities owing to health reason. He was suffering from kidney related problem and was under treatment even in Ireland.
He directly came to a private hospital in Kuvempunagar early on May 28, and was kept in a separate facility. But after his test result showed positive to coronavirus, the youth was taken back to a Bengaluru hospital.
Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar said within 24-hours after his arrival in Mysuru, he was taken back to Bengaluru following advice of health authorities. The patient hasn’t come in contact with any of his relatives here since his arrival, the DC stated.
Another 26-year-old man who was in facility quarantine has tested positive. He arrived here from Rajasthan.
Mysuru has received about 800 individuals from other states and they're all under quarantine.
