Mysuru youth falls off his new scooter, dies

MYSURU: A youth was killed after his recently-bought scooter skidded on Outer Ring Road near Bogadi around midnight Monday.
Abhilash B Gowda, 23, succumbed to severe head injuries on the spot, said VV Puram traffic police. The incident happened when Gowda, a cashier at a cooperative society in Periyapatna, was returning home at 11.30pm. Only three days ago, his mother had got him the scooter. Abhilash had even uploaded the photos of his new wheels, including a selfie with it, on a social networking site. He was yet to register the vehicle.
Abhilash lived alone in a rented room in Vijayanagar IV Stage in West Mysuru, while his mother stays at KR Pete taluk in Mandya district.
