Mysuru to host 5-day all-India postal cultural meet from tomorrow
Mysuru: Mysuru will host the 38th All India Postal Cultural Meet (AIPCM) 2026 from Feb 16 to 20, bringing together postal employees and their families from across the country.Addressing the media at postal training centre (PTC) Saturday, Sandesh Mahadevappa, director of postal service (HQ), Karnataka Postal Circle, said the event will be held at PTC and Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) campus.

The inaugural ceremony will begin at 10am on Feb 16 at KSOU's Kaveri Auditorium and will be inaugurated by director general Jitendra Gupta. Internationally acclaimed violinist duo, the Mysuru Brothers — Vidwan Mysore M Nagaraj and Vidwan Mysore M Manjunath — will attend as chief guests.A total of 335 participants, including postal staff and their children from 21 postal circles, will take part in the five-day meet. The event aims to promote cultural exchange, camaraderie, and unity among the department employees while celebrating India's diverse heritage. The meet will feature 32 competitions, including classical vocal music, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, solo singing, and short plays. Each team will have up to 24 members. Karnataka secured second place last year.Renowned Hindustani vocalist Pandit Venkatesh Kumar will attend the valedictory function and distribute prizes.
Mysuru earlier hosted the national postal cultural meet in 1987, 1995, and 2008. The 37th edition (2024–25) was held in Kozhikode, Kerala, in March 2025.V Tara, director of Bengaluru Central Region, and Ashish Singh Takur, director of PTC, Mysuru, were present.
