MUDA fails to check substandard works of its contractors

MYSORE: Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) has failed to check the substandard works of its contractors, said Karnataka Rakshana Vedike.
Karnataka Rakshana Vedike president Mohan Kumar Gowda told reporters on Wednesday that the substandard works of MUDA contractors were brought to the notice of MUDA commissioner Jayanna, who in turn promised to take action against the contractors and engineers."Even after eight days, no action has been initiated against the contractors or engineers and the substandard work is still continuing," said Mohan Kumar Gowda. He called upon the government to conduct an inquiry into such works.
He also demanded the MUDA commissioner to allow mediapersons to watch the proceedings of its monthly meeting.
