MP Shreyas Patel urges youth to join drug-free campaigns

Hassan: It is distressing that school and college students are ruining their lives with various narcotics, including marijuana and drugs, said MP Shreyas Patel.Speaking at the inauguration of the Nasha Mukt Bharat, Nasha Mukt Karnataka, and Nasha Mukt Campus campaigns, as well as the organ donation drive and rally, held at the district hockey field in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka Disha Bodh Foundation, and the Narcotics Control Bureau, he emphasised that it is our responsibility to create a healthy, safe environment for the next generation and establish a drug-free society.He expressed concern that children as young as 10 years are falling prey to drugs, which is a major challenge for society. He urged everyone to join hands for a drug-free Karnataka, stated that life becomes meaningful only when we use our God-given strength for the good of society.MLA HP Swaroop said youth should lead the way in creating a drug-free Hassan. He emphasised that everyone should cooperate to strictly prevent the sale and use of narcotics.Deputy commissioner KS Lathakumari said that India is a great nation, and every family should take a pledge to be drug-free. "Enemies do not need to wage war to weaken the country; spreading addiction is enough," she said.Halebidu Pushpagiri pontiff Somasekhara Shivacharya Swami emphasised that the health of the nation is as important as an individual's health. Everyone should take a pledge to protect their own health as well as the health of others, Swami said.Disha Bodh foundation director Dhruvakumar, ASP Srinidhi, and others were present.
