Mayor: Will facilitate newspaper distributors

Mysuru: Mayor M Ravi Kumar assured that newspaper vendors would be given space in MCC properties to carry out segregation and distribution.
Speaking during the 6th annual day celebration of the Mysuru District Newspaper Distributors Association, he stated that he is aware of the challenges and difficulties faced by newspaper distributors who work early morning hours even in adverse conditions.
Chamaraja MLA L Nagendra stated that he would stand with distributors who work in challenging environments. While the association is small, it is doing constructive, model work, he said.
He announced Rs 10,000 in financial support for the family of three vendors who passed away recently. He also assured support for the education of the children of distributors.
Arun Tiwari was felicitated with the late actor Puneeth Rajkumar award from the association.
