MYSORE: A day after
People Democratic Party leader Abdul Naseer Madani was arrested in Kerala for his alleged role in Bangalore serial blasts, Karnataka police chief Ajai Kumar Singh said, "We have succeeded in bringing Madani to Karnataka."
He told reporters onWednesday: "Investigation will continue and in case any other person is foundinvolved, we will arrest them too." He said except the Bangalore blasts, noother case is pending against Madani in Karnataka.
About Madaniclaiming innocence, he said: "We investigated the case and booked him as perlaw. There is no pressure either." To a query whether the police can provecharges against the accused, Singh quipped the investigation is on and it is thejudiciary which will decide. The DGP expressed gratitude to Kerala policeofficers for extending support. "Kerala DGP, Southern Range IG and Kollumdistrict SP Harshitha Attalluri helped our investigation officers in securingMadani," Singh added.
