Kid survives mauling by pet Rottweiler

Despite the ghastly incident, the family is quite sympathetic to their pet though it has been confined within a cage after the incident. Ajay's family said they are shocked said will keep their pet under observation for two weeks before taking a call on what to do.
Amoghavarsha was ready to go for an evening stroll with his mother around 5.30pm when the incident happened.As soon as Amoghavarsha came out of house and started running, his pet, about 3 year olds, followed him and caught him by his head and shook him from side to side.
All efforts of his mother and neighbours to free him from the dog's jaws went in vain for a few minutes. By then, the pet had bitten him at several parts of his body. His rescuers used clubs to free him.
Ajay said more than 80% of his son's scalp was severely injured and he sustained deep bite injuries on his face, chest, back and neck region. Doctors hadn't given any assurance about his life till a marathon surgery was performed on Thursday. Amoghavarsha is an LKG student of Vidyavardhaka Institutions.
The Rottweiler was bought when his son was one year old and is among the five pets at home. The other breeds include a German shepherd, a Doberman, a Labrador and a Pit Bull.The family takes one pet at a time for a walk, Ajay said.
