JSS STU convocation tomorrow

Mysuru: A total of 1,832 students of JSS Science and Technology University (JSS STU) will graduate at the eigth convocation to be held on Feb 25.Speaking to reporters at the SJCE campus on Monday, JSS STU VC AN Santosh Kumar, said: "This year, the university will confer degrees on 1,081 Bachelor of Engineering (BE) graduates, 63 Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) graduates, 99 Master of Technology (MTech) graduates, 118 Master of Computer Applications (MCA) graduates, 161 Master of Science (MSc) graduates, 281 Master of Business Administration (MBA) graduates, and 29 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) scholars."To recognise outstanding academic achievement, 74 medals will be presented during the ceremony, including 37 gold medals for branch toppers and 37 endowment medals for meritorious performance. These honours represent not only academic excellence, but also sustained commitment and consistency, he said.The convocation will be presided over by Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami, who is the chancellor of JSS STU. The convocation address will be delivered by BM Jayeshankar, chairman and managing director of Adarsh Group, and a distinguished alumnus of the institution.To further strengthen experiential learning, JSS STU has signed MoUs with leading organisations, including Indian Space Research Organisation, Bajaj Engineering Skills Training, Pune, Vigyan Labs, and Fuji Electric, to enhance industry exposure, research collaboration, internships, and skill development. This will ensure that graduates step into the professional world equipped with industry-ready skills and a future-focused vision, the VC said, adding all students are well equipped to take on AI before they complete their respective courses.
