MYSORE: District JD(S) president and MLC Chikkamadu on Tuesday extended an open invitation to
Congress leader
Siddaramaiah to join JD(S) as he felt that those who were backstabbing in Congress would not allow Siddaramaiah to become the chief minister.
At a press meet here, he said it was Congress leaders like Vishwanath and
B K Hariprasad who prevented Siddaramaiah from becoming the chief minister in 2004 when Congress and JD(S) decided to form a coalition government.
At that time, it was these two leaders who suggested to the high command to insist on JD(S) to accept Maharastra's module of government where a party having more number of legislators should have a chief minister's post, he pointed out and said even now these two leaders were making all efforts to prevent Congress and JD(S) from forming a government headed by Siddaramaiah.
