Infant murder case: Mother, grandfather in shock

MYSORE: The incident of murder of three-week-old Zoya Khanum has left her mother Sumaya Khanum and grandfather Aslam Pasha dumbfounded.
Aslam Pasha told STOI that his second daughter Sumaya has become silent and has stopped talking to anyone in the family ever since the incident. She is not responding to any one after Zoya was laid to rest late on Friday.Sumaya is living with her parents in Shanthinagar
“I have, so far, have shed tears in life even in difficult times. I have been an auto driver since 1972 but now I am unable to hold back my tears because of tragic end of Zoya,” Aslam said.
“The auto driver said we are still perplexed why my little Zoya was killed. We are leading a hand to mouth life and we don’t have any rivalry to suspect anyone in the act. We hope Allah to do justice” says Aslam.
Meanwhile, police have continued investigation and have expressed confidence of nabbing the culprits shortly.
DCP (L&O) Basavaraj Malagatti said we are yet to achieve a breakthrough.
