Hassan CMC will be upgraded to City Corporation: CM

Hassan: Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Monday announced that the Hassan City Municipal Council will be upgraded to Hassan City Corporation. He made this announcement while addressing a gathering at Hasanamba Temple after taking darshan of the goddess.The state cabinet approved the upgrade on the same day. During his second visit to the temple, Siddaramaiah prayed for the welfare of the people of the state. He mentioned that last year, he prayed for good rains in 2024-25, and now, all the dams are filled with water.The CM acknowledged the inequality in society and emphasised the responsibility to eradicate it. This led to the implementation of several programmes in 2018 and the introduction of schemes irrespective of caste, creed, and religion. Despite criticism from the opposition, the five guarantees and programmes received a positive response.Siddaramaiah assured the allocation of special funds for development activities if needed and directed the deputy commissioner and the tahsildar to submit a proposal.Arasikere MLA KM Shivalingegowda praised the CM for his contributions to the people of Hassan and the state. Minister for muzrai and endowment Ramalinga Reddy, KN Rajanna, and MP Shreyas Patel were also present at the event.
