Girl dies of suspected dengue

Mysuru: Bindushree, a 16-year-old PU student died of suspected dengue fever at a private hospital in the city on Tuesday midnight.

District health officer B Basavaraj said that as many 271 positive cases of dengue were reported from January 1 to July 31. However no deaths due to dengue were reported during thi s period. In Bindushree's case it was suspected to be dengue. "We are coordinating with the Apollo Hospital authorities to confirm it," the DHO said. Bindushree was the daughter of Vinay Kulkarni and Latha, residents of Vidyaranyapuram. She was studying at Gopalaswamy PU College. tnn
