It can be recalled that in September 2,200kg of e-waste was collected by pourakarmikas. In October, it was one tonne. In November, the segregation of e-waste is under progress.

According to city residents, the idea of collecting e-waste directly from the city residents every month is a very good idea. But the need of the hour is strict implementation and penalty on all those who fail to comply. “In many parts of the city, many families are reluctant to segregate waste at source. They keep on throwing waste in public places. Like BBMP in Bengaluru, the corporation must hire marshals and penalise such lawbreaking residents,” said Poornima Nagaraj, a resident of Vidyaranyapuram.
