Eye surgeries performed on poor kids

Mysuru: Surgeons of Mysuru-based Usha Kiran Eye Hospital, led by Dr Ravishankar and Dr Uma, performed free eye surgeries for two girl children from poor families. Both of them were suffering from congenital cataract, a release said.Keerthana, 13, from Chamarajanagar district was born with congenital cataract in both eyes. Pragathi, 10, from Periyapatna taluk of Mysuru district, underwent surgery in 2020 for cataract and IOL implantation. However, she developed problems in her right eye following which she was operated upon. tnn
