Drive held to promote organ donation

MYSURU: The Confederation of Indian Industry's Young Indians, Mysuru chapter organised 'Pledge your organs' campaign at Dufferin Clock here on Sunday to mark f World Gift an Organ Day.
The event was conducted to promote and encourage organ donation among people and help remove some myths associated with donation of an organ. The programme was held in presence of Muthukumar, Chairman, CII Karnataka, Arjun Ranga, chairman, CII Mysuru, Yi chairman Ravishankar, Gift an Organ vertical chair Dr.Chaitra Narayan, Dr Manjunath Shetty of JSS and Dr Nagaraj, health officer, Mysuru City Corporation.
D Ravishankar, Chairman, Yi, Mysuru chapter said "The program stressed the importance of organ donation and on how a single donor can save a minimum of 8 lives. Mysuru has set an example for organ donation by recently creating two green corridors."
