MYSORE: In what appears to be a suicide pact, a couple brutally killed their two children before ending their lives by jumping into river Cauvery in T Narasipura on Monday.
The victims are
KSRTC driver Raju (35),
Radha (28), Punith (7) and Manoj (5). Punith and Manoj were found dead inside a four-wheeler parked near Agasthewara Temple, at the confluence of rivers-- Cauvery and Kapila.
Their wrists were slit and both died due to loss of blood. Police recovered a death note from the vehicle where Raju has mentioned that he is taking the extreme step as he is dejected in life and his assets must be distributed equally among his relatives. But, he doesn't mention the reason for dejection. o why he was dejected.
A source claimed that Raju was diagnosed with liver cancer recently. On Sunday, he took his wife and children to a temple in his friend's car. Meanwhile, Raju's mother Meenakshamma and relatives were searching for them as they had not informed any one and was not answering calls oo his cellphone.
Meanwhile, police have continued search for bodies of Raju and his wife Radha who is learnt to have jumped into the river after committing the crime. T Narasipura Police found footwear of the duo and a jacket supposedly belonging to Raju on the bank.
