MYSORE: For MohanKumari
M C, wife of co-operative minister S S Mahadev
Prasad, this was a special moment. As she received her PhD degree from former cricketer Anil Kumble, her husband was also on the dais as one of the chief guests and was beaming with happiness.
Four years ago, it was her husband who suggested her to do research work. "I was a student of Psychology and I decided to do research work on personality factor and subjective wellbeing of women achievers seeing my mother who had always been a pillar of strength," she said.
From Saalumarada Thimmakka to Sudha Murthy she has met about 104 women achievers in Karnataka for her research work. For meeting a few achievers, my identity as Mahadev Prasad's wife helped, she said.
"I owe this to my husband who supported me and encouraged me. I feel happy to receive the degree in his presence, but I know he would have been here even if he was not the chief guest of the event," the 51-year-old remarked.
In near future, she wants to come up with a book on these achievers. She claimed to have penned about four travel books which will be published as well.
