BJP’s Ashwath Narayan slams state govt for releasing water
Mandya: Former minister CN Ashwath Narayan on Wednesday accused the Congress government of behaving irresponsibly in the Cauvery issue. He said the government had adopted anti-farmer policies by releasing water to Tamil Nadu. “The government has not convinced the Supreme Court about the facts and has meted injustice to the people of Karnataka by joining hands with the DMK-led TN,” he stated. While, there was no dearth for drinking water during the BJP government, the present Congress government has failed to address the issue, he claimed. Ridiculing on the state government for shifting the blame on the Centre in the Cauvery issue, he said it was only trying to shy away from the situation. TNN
