BJP MP’s aide seeks probe to find out Muskan family’s al-Qaida ‘link’

Mandya: A supporter of Uttara Kannada BJP MP Anantkumar Hegde has filed a complaint with Mandya police seeking probe to find out if there are any links between the Bibi Muskan Khan family and terrorist organisation al-Qaida.
The complaint was filed by Anil Kumar Marigowda after al-Qaida chief Ayman Al Zawahiri recently released a video showering praises on Muskan Khan for raising slogans of Allah-hu-Akbar after being heckled by a group of men in saffron shawls last February.
Gowda said the politicians and leaders of organisations who visited the house of the student should also be investigated. He also demanded police confiscate the passports of Muskan and her family members to prevent them from leaving the country. However, police have not registered a case as they said they’re awaiting directions from higher-ups as it is a sensitive matter.
Mandya SP Yatish N refused to comment on the issue.
