Lead Bank manager Shivalingaiah said that after demonetization, there is a huge demand for POS machines. “In order to create awareness about digital transactions in rural areas, business correspondents, who are approved bank agents appointed to provide basic banking service using micro ATM to bank customers, will help villagers make transactions through Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AEPS) by using biometric for authenticate identity,” he said.
