Awards to be presented on March 9

Mysuru: The Puttanna Kanagal Award and Dr Vishnuvardhan Award will be presented to senior film artists and social workers on March 9, during the annual celebration held by Shri adishakti educational, social, and cultural organisation, at Jaganmohan Palace auditorium.Speaking to reporters on Monday, Sumathi Srinivalli Hiremath, the founder of the organisation and a senior theatre artist, mentioned that former legislative council member DS Veerayya will inaugurate the event, while retired Lokayukta justice Santosh Hegde will preside over it. Dr Anjinappa, a doctor at KIMS hospital in Bengaluru, MLA K Harishgowda, president of Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce Narasimhalu, former president Chinne Gowda, president of the Producers' Association Umesh Bankar, artists Tennis Krishna, Mimicry Dayanand, Vaijnath Biradar, and others will participate.The Puttanna Kanagal Award will be presented to 21 people, including film producer Chinne Gowda, and the Dr Vishnuvardhan award will be presented to 51 people, including Narasimhalu, president of the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce.
