Angry JD(S) workers attack houses of Congress leaders

: Hours after the murder of JD(S) worker H Prakash, around 40 JD(S) workers and supporters attacked the

houses of Congress leaders

in Toppanahalli. They destroyed the furniture and tried to set fire to the houses using petrol. The houses belonged to Congress leaders Devaraju, Muthuraju, Kumar and Patel Puttaswamy. The mob also damaged an autorickshaw parked in front of Puttaswamy’s house and the crop stored inside. The women ran outside to save their lives.


The youths attacked Congress leader Kumar’s house around 8pm by crashing a

tractor

against the wall of his house. They later entered Devaraju’s house and destroyed the furniture and the roof. The mob also burned the UPS system in the house using petrol.
