AHV welcomes state budget

Mysuru: Disgruntled BJP MLC AH Vishwanath said that the budget presented by chief minister Siddaramaiah on Friday is a good and balanced financial plan which is aimed at creating a welfare society. He alleged that the proposal of the Uniform Civil Code is a political stunt.Speaking to reporters on Saturday, he said that the budget has touched everyone in the society. “It is aimed at creating a welfare society with a special focus on empowering women. I welcome this budget,” he said. “Siddaramaiah announced schemes for the poor. People will get money in many ways. The government must ensure that these schemes are not misused by politicians or vested interests,” he said. tnn
