Mysuru: State agriculture minister BC Patil on Friday advised farmers to adopt integrated farming system where they can take up poultry, fish, livestock together as such a system profitable for them.
He was speaking after participating at one day with farmers interaction programme launched by state government to motivate more farmers to take up integrated farming at Talur village in Mysuru taluk.
He said one of the farmers from Talur village Somashekhar has adopted this system, growing fruits vegetables and flowers, earning lakhs together every month.
As farmers ensures food security needs of the nation, he said both governments at the Centre and state providing all subsidies, incentives to them to adopt such a system. Farmers make use of government benefits,

Meanwhile in Bagalkot, chief minister Basavaraj Bommai said a master plan will be prepared to develop Badami as a world-class tourism destination.
After laying the foundation stone for Kerur lift irrigation in Ugallavata village in Badami taluk, the CM said that the government has already begun phase 3 of the Upper Krishna Project.
Once completed, the Krishna river area, including Badami, will become prosperous in the near future.
