Actor Yash offers hope to ailing fan

Shivamogga: Demonstrating his humility and the deep personal bond he maintains with his followers, KGF superstar Yash reached out directly to a dedicated fan, who is battling a severe medical crisis. According to the fan’s family members, the actor on Monday made a video call from USA to Sunil Kumar, Shivamogga district president of the Yash Fans’ Association, to personally inquire about his health and offer emotional support. Sunil Kumar has been undergoing treatment for rectal cancer for the past four to five months.

The actor learned about the severity of Sunil’s medical condition and wasted no time in establishing contact.

During the interaction, Yash urged his fan to stay resilient through the treatment. “I came to know about this today and wanted to speak with you immediately,” Yash said during the call. “Please do not lose hope. Stay brave, and do not lose courage under any circumstance. We will all pray for your recovery.”

Yash also spent time speaking with Sunil’s family, reassuring them during this incredibly challenging phase. The video call has since caught the attention of netizens, earning widespread praise across social media for the actor’s compassionate gesture.

During their conversation, Sunil shared his heartbreaking medical journey, shedding light on the critical issue of misdiagnosis and medical delays. Yash mentioned that he learned about Sunil’s situation just a day prior through his team member. He urged Sunil and his wife not to lose faith, emphasising that while doctors do their jobs, the patient must maintain internal strength.

Speaking to TOI Sunil’s brother Shashikumar said they are three brothers and family sacrificing everything to his brother. Yash’s conversation filled confidence, he added.
