MYSURU: Two weeks after city police filed an FIR against seven employees of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), a former legislator has written to the governor urging to place them under suspension.

G Madhusudana, releasing a copy of the letter to the media, said the accused are likely to tamper with the incriminating documents and influence witnesses in the case, the letter said.

Sources claimed KSOU former VC KS Rangappa, who is VC of University of Mysore, has obtained a stay for proceedings against him from the high court and the rest are likely to approach court seeking anticipatory bail. tnn
