Women may drive school buses

MUMBAI: For students’ safety, school buses could have women drivers from June this year. The state’s School Bus Owners Association says it could help reduce cases of sexual abuse.
The association has sought applications from women wanting to be part of its team. Anil Garg, president of the association, said those selected will be trained.
Anjana Prakash, principal, Hansraj Morarji Public School, said kids will feel safe in the care of women.
