Woman stabs husband with kitchen knife

MUMBAI: A 20-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband in their Nalasopara home.

The couple were married about a year ago.

Tulinj police said on Wednesday following a fight Sobia allegedly stabbed Irfan Khan (21) on his abdomen with a kitchen knife at Rehmat Nagar in Nalasopara (E). Irfan raised an alarm that alerted neighbours rushed him to hospital. Sobia stayed put in their home.

Police arrested her based on Irfan’s complaint. The reason behind the assault is under investigation but neighbours told police the couple often fought.
