Woman kills husband with lover's help & dubs it an accident; held

MUMBAI: A 35-year-old woman from Nalasopara who allegedly connived with her paramour to murder her husband and passed it off as an accident has been arrested. Pelhar police said Riyaz Ali (55) was admitted to a hospital by his wife Mansura on August 21, saying he had met with an accident while returning from Kalamb beach in Nalasopara.

A case of accidental death was registered by the Tulinj police.Probe later revealed there were injuries on Ali's body that could not have been accidental. Mansura was unable to give details about the accident spot. The autopsy also confirmed death due to stab wounds. Mansura confirmed having taken her husband for a walk to the beach on Monday, where she and her paramour Ganesh Pandit, who was also Ali's employer, stabbed him, leaving him severely injured. They rushed him to a hospital. The couple have two children.
